Wandering the streets of Venice

We'd planned to go to Murano today but given the strike in Italy decided that, although some water buses were running, we'd wait till tomorrow when we had a better choice of boat times.  Even saywa plane take off - seems it's mainly our airlane that has cancelled flights..

Started off by wandering around the food markets

The fish market was HUGE; at least 30 stalls

I'd offered to treat Pete to  coffee in St Marks Square BUT we felt we'd rather put the money to a nice bottle of wine... Coffee - 13 euros each cup!

Mr Quacks and Ponders had a gander at St Marks Square.. and helped Pete take some photos!

Stunning sunshine and very warm.... lovely day altogether!
