London - for Tower of London Poppies and a concert.

Today I met Pete for a mid-day concert at LSO St Lukes.  My train was late - again!! However, the sun was shining as we wandered over London Bridge..

to see the final number of poppies around the Tower of London... there were so many people - which was great - but limited the view of the poppies so just a few pics as we'll never see again!!

 and then off to LSO St Lukes.

The pianist today was Denis Kozhukhin who stepped in at short notice replace the scheduled pianist

He played Lisz t'sBenediction de Dieu dans la solitude - which was stunningly beautiful and
firstly, Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition - which was dramatic and also beautifully played.

A lovely day out.....
