Sorrento Day 4 - Positano

The previous evening in the hotel restaurant it was a Sorrento themed evening - and musicians serenaded.

and there were some interesting carved vegetable decorations

We'd been waiting for a day that promised to be reasonably dry and today it was.  We caught a bus for a very scenic ride along the Amalfi coast to Positano.  Magnificent views....

We got off the bus at the top.. and walked down... it was a long way but we took our time soaking in the views as we went.  The cloud was very low over the hill tops.... but at least it was dry..

This is  not very good picture of a dragonfly... yet to be identified..

Oleander and Bougainvillea - grew everywhere.  Given it was October most of the flowers/bracts were over but still lots of colour..

We stopped for a coffee....

nearly at the bottom... the shops started in earnest

and a local band played as they walked through the streets

and finally time to come home.. we came back by boat - not the nicest of trips as it was somewhat rough.  The boat went via Capri to Sorrento, that last bit of the journey being somewhat calmer!!
