West Dean Gardens and Petworth - lots of colour

Today the weather is ... not good.. grey and damp so didn't want to go too far afield

So off to West Dean Gardens,.. where I joined as a Garden Member.

Loads of buttercups..

and the Wisteria is just starting to flower.. a bit more sunshine and warmth and it will look stunning..

It started to rain so we all took shelter for a bit..

and then headed out again..

Laburnum starting to flower..

The sheep have been shorn...

and a family of 11 Mallard ducklings..

Then headed off in the rain... stopped at Petworth Park which was on my way home..

for a scone for lunch... very tasty..

The scent from these azealeas was wonderful.. and

Mr Ponders approved..

Good to get out despite the rain...... roll on some sunshine please :D .
